ALiEN8 began life as a project with the McCarter Theater Center’s Education Program. The three-week high school summer intensive involved the collaboration of 22 New Jersey high school students. Brennan and White began with a handful of songs some rough sketches of scenes, which were then elaborated on through improvisation and student input. The final product was a workshop of a 75 minute version of ALiEN8 that was performed for the public on the final day of the intensive.

The workshop culminated in a public performance on Saturday, March 24th. The production was directed by Jorge William Donoso and featured the following cast: Michael Andreaus, Kristen Cerelli*, Gregory DeCandia*, Adrianna Delpercio, Darius Freeman, Jordan Kilgore, Vince Leseney, Gillian O’Daniel, Alyssa Peters, Dani Pike, Angela Polk, Corinne Prudente, Nicholas J.
